A Happy Fence Friday to all. I hope your day is calm and that your weekend offers some respite from the current financial and political turmoil.

This fence surrounds the King Carnival which has sat here next to the river for 70 years or so. It is to be demolished to make way for the construction of a brewery and restaurant. After all, we can’t let children’s fun stand in the way of profit, can we?

A pleasant scene here but that Ferris wheel looks a bit dodgy. Yes, we can't have families enjoying themselves at the expense of more profit. Better to have made a play-park for the young children. Well done.
