I was involved on a very small level with the local Roller Derby team at that time, they have a convention here once a year and she was out here supporting her local gals, who I'd shot the year before when they rolled on Fremont Street.

I didn't recognize her as being on the show till about a year later, when the wife was watching the show on TV. I said "I think I shot her downtown, she looks familiar!"

Sure enough.

Those gals, Charm City, were the classiest of them all back then. Not to take anything from my local gals, Sin City or the Windy City gals, who were also of a higher caliber in those days and favorites of mine.

Mary Alice herself, was as sweet as the icing on the cakes they baked..
