Gardens & Round Stone Barn

The Shakers were renowned for their skills at woodworking, spinning, weaving, basket making, and agriculture, and for their innovative architecture. The Round Stone Barn (originally built in 1826, rebuilt after a fire in the 1880s) was in use for the dairy herd until the 1950s. hancockshakervillage.org/museum/historic-architecture/1826-stone-barn
