Birthplace of Pepsi Cola

Caleb Bradham, whose pharmacy was on this spot, concocted "Brad's Drink" -- made of carbonated water, sugar, vanilla, rare oils, pepsin and cola nuts -- in the pharmacy's soda fountain in 1893. It was trademarked as Pepsi Cola (on account of the pepsin and cola nuts in the formula) in 1898.
