Fathers of the Nation Monument

This monument in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan has an unusual history. Erected in 1995 it originally had a series of life-size sculptures of national figures. Soon after it was built they began to mysteriously disappear and so the artist opted to remove the remaining figures and leave it as it is seen here.
