In Poland old willows are believed to be enchanted witches, to have their soules and sometimes to host low-rank local devils.
This one was most certainly a friendly witch. On my first evening at Starawieś (a small village) I was walking around looking for some photographic ideas to explore the next morning.
It was a very quiet evening, no wind whatsoever.
I was just standing near this willow when she started talking to me. She creaked and squeaked for no reason. So first I listened and then I asked her what it was about that she wanted. When I spoke, she was silent. When I became silent, she talked again.
So I told her:
"Do you want me to portrait you? OK, let me see what I can do".
Then she stopped talking and started to behave like a professional model ;)
