Schloss Sanssouci

Schloss Sanssouci (von französisch sans souci ‚ohne Sorge‘) ist ein Baudenkmal in der ehemaligen Residenzstadt Potsdam.

Es wurde 1745 bis 1747 im Auftrag Friedrichs des Großen nach Plänen Georg Wenzeslaus von Knobelsdorffs im Stil des Friderizianischen Rokoko erbaut.

Wegen seiner kunsthistorischen Bedeutung wird Schloss Sanssouci auch preußisches Versailles genannt. Quelle: Wiki D
