The tip is wasted, so I cracked it open. Will be thrown out once I have a replacement.

It can't match the real thing, but it comes close sometimes, or my memory is blurred.
Added spacers to make it fit

Without the plastic nuts the battery compartment is crooked and touches the PCB. Not going to happen here.
6.3mm headphone jack

I had to mill away a few mm. Otherwise the jack would not have been flush with the PCB. Three solder joints are in the way.

Getting this thing soldered down with solder paste and hot air / oven is certainly much less challenging than with a soldering iron. If it were any smaller I'd need additional magnification.

No wonder this is a bit tricky to do with a soldering iron. For this you will really need a small tip.
