A very late HFF to all friends and visitors on a cool weekend in Hamburg.

After an endless debate this ensemble of four 13 floor buildings from the late fifties is finally being dismanteled.

Für ein Stockwerk mehr, hätte man es wohl nicht unbedingt abreissen brauchen, auch wenn das neue grundsätzlich vernünftig aussieht . Aber wahrscheinlich generieren sich bei einem Neubau dann 1000 € /qm Rendite daraus. Trauriges Kapitel.

...wohl wahr, Leo, aber das sah schon ziemlich grauenhaft aus. Und dann veraltete Gebäudetechnik, Asbest usw. Leider geht der Durchblick aufs Kontorhausviertel verloren

Wobei man ehrlicherweise sagen muss, dass man den Blick "bisher" garnicht in der Form haben konnte. Vom Klosterwall nicht (zu nah dran) und von der anderen Seite der Bahngleise auch nicht -wegen der Randbebauung (Markthalle).
Also ich kann ja nichts vermissen, was es nur fiktiv gegeben hat.
