I'm sorry, one of the mysteries of ipernity, commenting should have been possible according to the settings. I have set the viewing audience from private to public now (commenting audience was public already), hopefully it will work now. Normally commenting should be possible for group members once an image is submitted to the group, probably it wasn't possible since it was pending. Please try if commenting is possible now. If an image can be taken directly into a group, commenting is indeed possible, even if it is private. However, here ( " # Frontpage Photography # ") it should be possible before the image can be included in the group in order to optimize the selection process.

(As soon as it can be accepted for the group, you should be able to reset the settings if you want.)
