Bronze helmet of Corinthian type

This was the most common helmet worn by Greeks for hoplite (heavy infantry) warfare. Additional equipment typically included a cuirass (body armor), greaves (shin guards), a circular shield, a thrusting spear, and a short sword. This helmet is said to be from Olympia.
