Marble head of a youth from a relief
Greek, late 4th century BC
Said to be from Rhodes

Accession # 11.91.1

This head was probably part of a large, elaborate grave monument. The strongly projecting forehead and deep-set eyes, which give an intense expression to the face, are similar in style to works that have been associated with Skopas, a famous sculptor of the 4th century BC.
