Dead mistletoe

The skeleton of Amyema miquelii (Box Mistletoe), Hardys Scrub, Onkaparinga River NP, Mt Lofty Ranges, South Australia.
During the recent drought here, over the last few years, I have seen many cases where mistletoes have died while their Eucalypt hosts have been better able to cope with the water stress. In this case both were casualties.
