Yay!! So happy you had one and thought of this for World Photography Day. [I have some, but didn't think of it.] And what an amazing one you have. I've never seen such a photo.

And you did such a great job of photographing the photograph. I love how the deterioration that has happened feels even more celestial than it probably did at first.

It's in a book: COSMOS The art and science of the universe, by R.J.M. Olson and J.M. Pasachoff.
So there is no realy nice story to tell about. By the way if you are interested in astronomy and art, it's a great book.

But that is a story - maybe not the one I was expecting, but a good one none the less.

Hab ich nicht mitbekommen am Tag der Fotografie..nichts anderes hätte ich von Dir erwartet...toll auch, dass Du uns damit in die Vergangenheit der Fotografie führst mit einen Motiv, dass uns jeden Tag aufs Neue fasziniert!!!!
