Apparent size of the Sun


The orbit of the eart around the sun is an ellips. At aphelion the distance earth - sun is at its maximum (beginning of july) of 152 million km., and at perihelion at its minimum (beginning of january) 147 million km. The resulting difference in apparent size of the sun is about 3,4 %. This difference in size is shown in the picture.
