Maimonides

Maimonides
Hispano-Jewish philosopher, theologian, astronomer; born (1135) in Cordoba. He attempted to reconcile Aristotelism with Jewish theology (combining faith with reason).

Ibn Rushd (Averroës), also born in Cordoba (1126) did the same for Aristotelism and Islam. A century later Thomas Aquinas reconciled Aristotelism and Christianity.
