I realise that I am more of a painter at heart, and welcome the wabi sabi more than some photographers.
Prints from historic 19th century processes captivate me, and the total abundance of different ways to print.
We think we are so clever, and yes we are, some of these processes have been adjusted by the modern mind and science.......but ultimately, they were as cool then as they are now.

Silver gelatin print on vintage Kodak Projection 84 paper, well past its used by date. Developed in Ilford Multigrade 1: 40. Contact printed from Thermo Scientific, CL-Xposure Film, 5 x 7 " Blue X-Ray film.
Metered @100 iso
Sinar F 4 x 5 LF Camera,
Fujinon 250 mm W lens
5 x 7 sheet cut to size and loaded in holder. A crop showing the cut down 5 x7 in a 4 x 5 holder. Warts and all....still beautiful

4 colour carbon image from a workshop with Ellie Young at Goldstreet Studios in April 2017. Scanned and gently kissed in Nik. Slightly out of registration for one colour, but I am okay with this. Lots to learn. Printed on Yupo. original image taken on EOS 30D and some non Canon m42 lense. The original image was from the main road to Taneatua in the Bay of Plenty.

My very 1st of 2 Cyanotypes using Mike Wares Recipe. Digital negative from a silver gelatin paper negative…complicated…….BUT cooool! In UV box for 14mins…..this is crappy paper…….they will get better. I learned a lot tonight…….
