Watson & Sons LF Camera pre 1908. Dallmeyer 6 x 5 Rapid Rectilinear lens wide open. Silver gelatin paper negative..........scanned and inverted, levels adjusted and dust cleaned in PS. No Nik processing. Very straight inversion. 1st shot taken inside Gallery259 with this camera. There were a few light leaks from cracks and damage to the holder........but sorted that with some tape...as seen here www.ipernity.com/doc/kiwivagabond/39909438

The story behind this shot...
I believe something out there hears your hearts cry.....something reads your dreaming thoughts....something hears your frustrations. Some will call it God....and that it may be....but mankind has kinda grabbed the brand and made God in his own image...so i am not keen to associate God as word or being with what msns fiasco has made it into.... There is something good there....be it the universe or energy. I really dont know. Good comes with bad....so this little story dont xplain bad...evil..ugly...etc the things that we all struggle with.. Today Gallery259..while i was workn on my continuing sort the microfilm xposure problem........a human being entered that gallery and said he had some old box cameras...not the kinda guy u wld think collected. Box Brownies i said pointing to some..
Nah big ones he said.....he went home...brought back this treasure. He was driving past a residence when a guy put out a garage sale sign....he stopped and went to buy stuff...and bought these...and more
...for his grandkids. I was tingling.....Treasure..indeed.....i shot some paper for him....made contact prints for him to take away.......cleaned and xplained things.......hes loaned then to me for a while....fun. He was rapt to see it all working and i was rapt with stuff that the rich guys or better positioned people usually amass. Raewyn Dunn was right...things happen in their time. Thankyou whoever you are out there...encouraging me with my magnificeint obsession. Tis the second time in a week. Keep on keeping on. I hongi d with this beautiful man...tihei mauri ora...we shared the breath of life.
