This vintage tobacco tin in an antique shop window caught my eye a while ago, as it reminded me of HMS Bulwark which was the first ship I was posted to after my basic training, back in 1969. The picture is NOT a selfie though, before anyone comments!

There are several versions of this tin but I think this one dates from the 1940s.

Ha, ha, I know what you mean Andy.................I also decided pipe smoking would be a good idea, but at 17 years old couldn't really carry it off :-)))

In those days, everyone smoked.............we were provided with cheap, duty-free tobacco. We even believed it made us look cool..........ha, ha!
