Evening grosbeak

The huge flock of Evening grosbeaks that has been hanging out the past
week or so at our feeder is a good mix of males and females. The males
are startlingly coloured, in black and bright yellow and white. By
comparison, the females seem drab.
But, on their own, the females are pretty too, with their grey, tan,
black, white and subtle yellow.
