View of the National Archives from the North Pole! The Navy memorial has a giant map of the world at it's center. You can see North and South America below in the light gray.

National Gallery of Art Sculpture Garden! ....It's full of those modern pieces that you aren't sure whether or not they just forgot to finish them or someone took Bubba's rusted out axle, put it on it's side, and declared it art.

Like I said, center left, Bubba's rusted out axle with the ring to the old above ground swimming pool...

I have no idea what it is supposed to be other than a piece of metal stuck between some lovely vegetation.

And from this point of view, Bubba's axle looks like it's pointing to the National Archives. Hmmm...National Treasure, anyone? Either that or it looks mysteriously like the symbol for the elder wand, stone, and invisibility cape from Harry Potter turned on it's side.

You know you are a child of the 80's when you see this and you immediately think that it should be painted in multiple colors...so you can hop up and down it to evade the baddies.

Look! 17th Century art! This is what most of the rooms in the National Gallery of Art look like. Very nicely lit with a large seating area in the center.

I love 17th C jackets and need to make one some day.
