Michigan State University
Photos taken on the MSU campus in East Lansing.
Trees Along the Drive
This one's a personal favorite. Things sometimes work out really well.
I've mentioned once or twice that when there's fog, fog tends to become my subject. Thus this photograph.
Incidentally, you've seen this farmyard's drive before .
==========
My photo plan for last April 18 was a photograph of Delta Mills , a "city" founded by rather ambitious people in the 1840s but which was eclipsed by nearby Lansing when the state capitol settled there. It once was a successful mill town, but nowadays it's just a little settlement north and west of the city.
Delta Mills' downtown's got an old church, an old general store/post office, a relatively new school, and a handful houses. I got a few pix, any of which would have served my purpose, but I went with an old barn that's across the river and down the road. I also took a few pix on the way to and from the townsite.
==========
Lesson: Even a sorry--and damaged--camera can take excellent photographs.

Other photos taken on 4/18/2012: I also managed 26 shots for the daily flower census, using the V1. Then that camera and I hied off to Mount Pleasant to record the MSU Spartans lopsided victory over the CMU Chips-- with 1413(!) photographs . Insane, I tell you. Insane.
Natural Science
Since I wanted something really different for the day's photographs, I headed for the MSU campus a year ago. I don't know Michigan State's campus as well as a student would, or even an alumnus, but generally speaking I can find my way around, especially if I stay near the Circle.
Parked next to the Natural Science Building on Farm Lane, then headed in the direction of Beal Garden.
==========
The Natural Science Building's a sprawling, not-particularly-attractive building. I used to occasionally wander into the library in the building, researching something or other in what seems like another life.
This pic's more or less from where I parked my car.
==========
To the extent the trip had a specific destination, that was Beal Garden. Where I found the new-since-I-last-looked gate I photographed for 366 Snaps .

Other photos taken on 7/12/2012: The Daily Flower Census returned after a brief outage. The yard was simply awesome.
North Kedsie Hall
Kedsie's just gorgeous.

Beal Garden
MSU's Beal Garden was kind of dramatic this morning...,
Beal Garden Tree
Beal Garden's one of my favorite Lansing-area places. A year ago I posted this one in color .

Daylilies, by the Library @ MSU
Near the Beal Garden gate . Wish my daylilies looked that good....
The Library
The reason I learned MSU's campus is the school's great library, where I used to spend entire days. It's really a rather unattractive building, but if you're careful you can make it look good.
I'm also posting a different crop of this photo.
