Upper Peninsula
Photographs taken in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. (I'm a troll, but not by design.)

Tahquamenon Falls State Park, June of 2003.
My memory is that the bugs were awful; a few weeks later we walked the same trail under better conditions.
The Trail to Emerson

Emerson was a lumber town at the mouth of the Tahquamenon River on Lake Superior's Whitefish Bay. It's gone; calling it a ghost town would exaggerate its current status. Basically there's nothing there.
Except this trail to the site , in the Tahquamenon Falls State Park. It's a worthwhile walk. We visited it on the first day of July in 2003.
Scott Falls

I've seen photographs of Scott Falls with actual water flowing over the cliff. But when I'm there, the fall looks like this. Always.
Near Munising, Michigan (and nearer Au Train); 7/10/2016.
