There used to be a Forest Service campground on Foley Creek, north of Saint Ignace. There was a short trail along the creek to the beach at Horseshoe Bay, on Lake Huron. We've walked it many times.
Found this guy along that trail one day.
The trail's still there, apparently, but the campground's been closed. And we've lately been taking another route to the Horseshoe Bay beach.

Took a walk at Hunter's Orchard Park this afternoon, and found this delightful bush along the trail. It smelled even better than it looked.

Ledges trail, Fitzgerald Park in Grand Ledge. This trail's now closed off for the duration, because social distancing is basically impossible on such a popular route.
The Trail to Emerson

Emerson was a lumber town at the mouth of the Tahquamenon River on Lake Superior's Whitefish Bay. It's gone; calling it a ghost town would exaggerate its current status. Basically there's nothing there.
Except this trail to the site , in the Tahquamenon Falls State Park. It's a worthwhile walk. We visited it on the first day of July in 2003.
