A Stark Morning
Time to Plow
When I headed out this morning I was looking for a photo like this one. Found it, but the weather turned out to be a more compelling subject.
Oneida Road, south of Grand Ledge, Michigan.

A Tree by the Road

St Joe Highway, near Mulliken, Michigan.
This photo was taken in early October. A wind storm subsequently damaged the tree, and it's been removed. I miss it.

Still Grey Today, but the Snow has Gone

For now. Boyer Road, Roxand Township, Michigan.
Two versions of the same photo, because I can't decide which I prefer.

Farmyard, St Joe Highway

One of my regular photo subjects, but differently framed than usual. Generally I make an effort to include the barn and/or sheds; this time I mostly avoided 'em.
Collapsed
Everywhere I go I find collapsed barns.
Didn't know this one before it fell in. It's on Gresham Highway between Clinton Trail (M-50) and Wheaton, more or less north of Charlotte, Michgian. I saw it today from 50 and went to find it.
Everything in the yard's collapsed, by the way. Obviously this farmyard's been abandoned for many many years.

There's a little swamp a couple miles west of here that I often photograph because it's always changing. This little vale's just north of that and has the same virtues.
I see I shot a photo here a few weeks back. Much the same, and very different.
Cory Yard
Near Dimondale, Michigan. As you might guess from the auto racks parked on the tracks, this yard pretty much exclusively serves a General Motors final assembly plant.
It's also within an easy walk of my former workplace.
