Everywhere I go I find collapsed barns. Didn't know this one before it fell in. It's on Gresham Highway between Clinton Trail (M-50) and Wheaton, more or less north of Charlotte, Michgian. I saw it today from 50 and went to find it. Everything in the yard's collapsed, by the way. Obviously this farmyard's been abandoned for many many years.

There's a little swamp a couple miles west of here that I often photograph because it's always changing. This little vale's just north of that and has the same virtues. I see I shot a photo here a few weeks back. Much the same, and very different.

Near Dimondale, Michigan. As you might guess from the auto racks parked on the tracks, this yard pretty much exclusively serves a General Motors final assembly plant. It's also within an easy walk of my former workplace.
