I've been trying for several weeks to get a useful photograph in what's known as Ledges Commerce Park, on the edge of Grand Ledge.
For over five decades--from the 1930s to sometime in the 1980s--this land was the site of an annual Seventh Day Adventist Camp. All traces of that heritage have vanished, though the place remains an obviously-large parcel at Saginaw (M-43) and Hartel (M-100). Along 43 there is now a line of commercial development--I took this pic from Sophia's Restaurant's parking lot, for instance--and in the back of the lot there's a medical clinic that stretches along Charlevoix Drive. The rest is still largely vacant.
With these tall trees....
