Roxand Township, Eaton County, Michigan. Better (less obscure) in large size.
You've perhaps noticed that Roxand Township is largely flat. It's nonetheless scenic, and the play of light and shadows is particularly interesting around sunrise and sunset. Enough of the farms have woodlots--some of them quite significant--that there are few unbroken views; on the other hand, the air's reasonably clear, and the sky's always interesting.
This farm's particularly well-situated to view the sky's play of light and clouds, and I've long admired it. Considered buying a house near here when, instead, I moved to Mulliken; decided the house itself wasn't a viable place for me and haven't changed that opinion. But I still like the location.
