DH Day Store

Glen Haven, Michigan; as you can see, now a ranger station at Sleeping Bear National Lakeshore. When I started visiting the area in the 1960s, this was where you bought your tickets for the Dunesmobiles (which were heavily modified Oldsmobiles at the time; I gather that before and after they were trucks).
The Day family apparently lived above the store for several decades, rather than at the farm. I can understand this; Glen Haven's about the prettiest place I know.
The Historic American Buildings Survey has a very similar photo from the 1970s. Interesting to see how the place has changed; I presume the windows change restores the appearance to Day's residency.
