Cardinal

The female half of a cardinal pair that hangs around our yard.

Joan's the family bird watcher; I enjoy 'em, but am not particularly serious about them.

Shot with m' 300 mm prime, now on its third camera, from across the yard (& through the window)--I used a tripod, and the photo's been severely cropped. The new camera's going to make some new things possible, methinks.
