In the eleventh inning of Tuesday's South Bend/Lansing game, Ryan Goins had one of the finest at-bats I've ever seen, fouling pitch after pitch into the stands, then drawing a walk. (The Lugnut writeup reports this as a sixteen-pitch at bat, which requires at least 10 fouls.)
He had a good game, otherwise, as well; two hits including a double, a run scored, and an RBI. Part of two DPs, on the defensive side.
Unfortunately, my guys lost despite Ryan's efforts. They did load the bases in the bottom of the eleventh.
