This was a normal transport when I was young, now few left and almost all for touristic purposes like the 28.
50 years ago I used to go hanging outside on the back with other kids and adults, like a raisin grape... as we did not have money for the fare, but the ticket men were accommodating.... it was a common practice and we were not unhappy about it. Unthinkable nowadays...
