Plaza de la Judería, Take #2 – Málaga, Andalucía, Spain

The Judería de Málaga is the sector of the historic center of Málaga, Spain where during the Middle Ages the Jewish community lived. It is located between Calle San Agustín and Calle Alcazabilla in the vicinity of the citadel. In 2008, the city of Málaga ceded a plot of land of some 450 square meters to the reconstituted modern-day Jewish community on which it was hoped to build a community centre, synagogue and Sephardic museum. So far, financial considerations have impeded the start of construction.
