There are many feral cats in Funchal. They are carefully monitored and there is an active neutering scheme. This Tuxedo Tom has been neutered, as evidenced by his clipped ear. Shelter from the occasionally heavy rain is provided, and food is placed in strategic places to ensure that they are not undernourished.
