Yummy! How did I manage to keep one in my bag for almost a whole day before I ate it?

Font Magica, Barcelona
Liquid fireworks, the best free show in Barcelona.
The water is lit up in different colours and synchronised to music. When we were there the music ranged from the Lion King, Queen's Barcelona and Ode to Joy - something for everyone.
As I predicted, I managed to miss the good weather here while I was away and now it's back to cold and wet. Never mind, I have so much marking to do at the moment that I hardly notice what it's like outside.

Looking across the harbour from the top of the Columbus Monument. You can just see the towers for the cable car in the distance. Saving that trip for my next visit...

The Monument a Colom was built for the Exposición Universal de Barcelona (Universal Exhibition) in 1888.
It celebrates Columbus's return after discovering America in 1492.
You can get a lift up 60m through the inside of the column to the viewing platform at the top for birds-eye views of Barcelona (see previous pictures).
