What is surprising about the author's initial letter on the book? Perhaps, like me, you thought initially it was an 'F' but on closer inspection I think it's actually an 'E' which is what I would have expected. And what's draped over the books is a further clue. (And you're only a few minutes walk away if you're at the fountain...)
