I'd ordered lime green but got bright green!!!

I bought a coat and a fleece from the Range. The fleece was black and the coat was khaki. The fleece zip kept breaking from the bottom. I took it back for a refund and the lady started to repay the second khaki coat. I pointed out that I had brought the black fleece back. The customer services lady then said she would have to check.. it could be a black khaki. I could hardly keep from laughing in front of her. It seems these days colours confuse people. I hope you manage to get your lime green soon Jenny.

That sounds like that poser that was doing the rounds a couple of years ago - about a dress that they were asking, was it blue or was it beige. To me it was blue, but to a lot of people it was beige. I never knew that obvious colours are so different to some people, Yours sounds hilarious, I mean khaki is nothing like black!!!

Oh dear. Colors are a notorious problem to describe and photograph. Trust me, I'm a graphic designer so boy oh boy do I know!!! Colors of something you're looking at are totally different than what you see on the computer. What you see on the computer will not look the same when it's printed. All of this is an artform in the end, to know how to take the thing you're looking at, and produce an image that's printed and looks like what you saw. Heh...fun and frustrating. :)

On the computer it looked lime green, and the colour next to it, was light green, which was exactly the shade sent to me. Methinks someone at the warehouse, picked the wrong one down and sent it to me. It was called light green, maybe he misheard the order!!! No problem - I'm sending it back, a refund is on its way and I've ordered "lime green" from another company

The solution is to buy the products on site and buy less by computer. I have had several setbacks of difficult solution for it. Colors, sizes and models that did not correspond to my order. I'd rather touch what I'm going to buy. Have a nice weekend Jenny.

Hola Anton, preferiría estar afuera y elegir el material yo mismo, pero estoy confinado en casa y, por lo tanto, no puedo salir a las tiendas. Salut Pat, je fais des courtepointes en patchwork. J'en ai fabriqué beaucoup, certains que j'ai donnés à des voisins, mais celui-ci restera avec moi - j'aime beaucoup les couleurs - très frappant.

I hate when that happens. I no longer buy things with colors by computer, because every monitor is calibrated differently.

Unfortunately it's happened again, the replacement green has come and it's exactly the same shade as the last lot - so they both have to be returned. I know that different computers show some colours very different from their natural colour - but the picture on the site is the colour I wanted, and I had a completely different colour sent. I've also just discovered that despite the names of the companies being different, the return address is exactly the same!!!! Grrrr

I did look at those amazing fabrics, thank you so much for showing me, I'd never heard of Kaffe Fassett before, but I'll certainly keep an eye out for her. I mostly use plain fabric, but sometimes just add patterns for contrast. I'd have to find a really great pattern of hers, then contrast it with some plain colours, otherwise the pattern gets swallowed up against other patterns.

I've just realised how many times I used the word "patterns" - I apologise for this - it's late at night and I'm a tad tired!!!!

I almost gave up the ghost with this search for lime green - when I managed to get an almost identical colour to the one I was looking for - but I still got some apple green material, as well as another bright green. I've returned two of the samples, but I'll keep the rest as they may just look good in another quilt!!!!!!
