BTW I was just looking at Raingirl's fern picture and you asked about the odd growths on the fronds. Those are actually spores! You are sure to know that ferns are among the oldest plants on earth, and so they have a different way of propagating than conventional plants. I found a really nice website which shows pictures and explains the life cycle that I'm sure you will enjoy! www.thoughtco.com/fern-life-cycle-4158558
Jenny McIntyre club has replied to Janet Brien clubI'm so pleased you like the apple blossom - it's absolutely gorgeous this time of year
You asked about La Sierra de La Cabrera. It is very close to Madrid.
It can be confusing because there are two Sierra de La Cabreras. One is about 250 miles away in the Province of Léon and this one is only about 20 miles away from Madrid!
So, on its doorstep, as it were! If you Google La Sierra de La Cabrera, images you will get about 95% 'my' Sierra de La Cabera and 5% the Léon Province one. On about page 2 or three of the Google images you start to see some of my modest pics!
