Must find out what this flower is
Close up of the pale purple lilac
The aqualegia is so delicate
A little pool
The mudflats from another angle
The tide had gone out
Beyond are cockle beds
An old wreck still stuck there
All the flotsam and jetsam in the pools
Little pools with the grass hassocks
View across the estuary
Lots of small snails line the rocks
A sort of fungus on the rock
Some people were investigating parts of the beach
One of the many cockle shells
Seaweed on the rocks
Tiny shells
Inside the pool
Just love the pattern the sand has made on the sea…
Close-up of the hassock
There was a lovely family playing with their dog
The fields have been plowed already
Lots of cockle shells were dotted all over the bea…
A gorgeous little butterfly joined us
Pippin accompanied me down the driveway
The pale purple lilac trees are there
The top of the drive is colourful too
The pale pink aqualegia
The dark purple lilac trees
More wild flowers are coming up
Lavender, but no smell as of yet
Loads of wild flower seeds are showing up
Finally finished
Even the left over seed pod looks pretty
The 'ladies bonnets' are plentiful this year
Boo likes to be where I am
Beautiful day
Some aqualegia is hiding in the mombretia
The grass really needs cutting
The laburnham looks great
The lawn is half done
Poor little daisies soon to be mulch!!!
Pippin loves the sun
Boo saw something rustling in the undergrowth

The plant originated in Central China, where it was twice discovered, once by the Jesuit missionary Giuseppe Giraldi. In England it is known as "Beauty Bush (Kolkwitzia amabillis)"
There are several other colours, our Pink one is actually the same plant but we gave it a different name.
