Had them years before I planted them out. I often buy small plants or nursery rejects and nurse them back to health. That way they're cheaper :)

Yes that's a good idea to get nursery rejects and nurse them back to health. My neighbour often sees council workers when they change the flowers over for the season and they often just throw the old plants away, so they get their plants from them.
