Glen Etive, Scotland
Just North of Rannoch Moor and adjacent to Glencoe, this is where the dramatic scenery of the West Highlands really begins.

Crossing Rannoch Moor Towards Glencoe
From Loch Ettrick we moved on North, round Glasgow and the grockle traps of Loch Lomond, across Rannoch Moor to Glen Etive.
The warm damp atmosphere was absolute heaven for the midges so out came the ‘Avon Skin So Soft’ in an effort to even the balance. This was the first time we had tried this remedy, which did stop them nibbling but did not deflect the regiments of the wee beasties.
