Beer For The Boat 1943

Monochrome version. Beer bottles found under the fuel tanks of the German Schnellboot, S130 (1943). Apparently there is a tradition in German shipyards, that bottles of beer are stowed in the bilges to please the spirits. In the same way that shoes are often found the chimneys of old cottages.
