Le canyon de Bozouls est une extraordinaire curiosité géologique, aux dimensions impressionnantes : 400 m de diamètre, 100 m de profondeur !
Ce site géologique unique, dit "Trou de Bozouls", est un cirque naturel, un canyon en forme de fer à cheval creusé dans les calcaires du Causse Comtal. Ce méandre encaissé est le fruit de l'action érosive des eaux et des étapes d'encaissement des cours d'eau. Tout modeste qu'il soit maintenant, c'est le Dourdou qui, durant des millénaires, a façonné cette étonnante curiosité naturelle.
