2014, A Photo A Day

Low quality as they were skittish and I didn't want to frighten them off. I thought they were two female mallards, but after comparing photos, I'm fairly certain they're American Black Ducks. My kingdom for a telephoto lens!

Poor little sparrow was tucked up on the tire of my mom's truck, trying to avoid the bitter cold winds of February. It's been a wicked winter for the critters.

Another kitchen hack. Plop your celery butt end in water until it sprouts some roots, plant in soil, and there you go - you have celery all the time!
