Memorial Plaque
One of my pieces that I'm particularly proud of. Banner was a great horse, and we all miss him. The poem was appropriate; he had Ethan Allen in his background.
Hand etched on black granite.

reminisce
A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away...I used to draw. A lot. Every day. It was my passion.
Last night was cold and rainy, so I didn't feel like bumbling about in the weather for a photo. Instead, I happened upon my old portfolio and took a trip down memory lane.
The first panel shows my cartoon friends, Sid and the Black Brontosaurus. Sid was loosely based on a friend of mine, and the BB is me. I spent countless hours doodling in the margins of my notebook during school (when I should have been listening or taking notes), and Sid just sort of appeared one day. He kept me amused; he, like the friend who inspired him, had a slightly acerbic and sarcastic personality. Many of my notebooks contained dialogue between myself and my little friend. Yes, I'm slightly odd. :)
The second panel is from what I call my Creature Phase. I've always been a fan of H.P. Lovecraft, horror movies, and scary stories. I love creating creatures from imagination.
The last panel is part of my Angular Phase. I prefer a stylized, graphic type design over realism any day.
Someday I hope to recapture my enthusiasm for drawing. Nowadays, it seems life is just too hectic and I'm never in the right frame of mind to sit for hours at a time, concentrating on pencil/pen/charcoal to paper. Someday, though...
