Verbasco

Verbascum thapsus.
It has medicinal and toxic properties and is used in some places to kill river fish. It is a biennial herbaceous plant, dicotyledonous, which reaches 2 m in height, with a straight, branched and woolly stem. The leaves, up to 5 dm in length, are lance-shaped, alternating ovals, covered with white or silver down, forming a basal rosette in the first year. During the second year, a single floral stem of 1 to 2 m in height grows, which can reach 3.5 m and ends in an inflorescence, consisting of a dense raceme with numerous light yellow flowers.
