I still have the night booked in Holt. Do I still go, and just go through the motions, as I'd planned to do last year, in order to be able to say that I'd been to Walsingham on Pilgrimage day every year for 44 years? I couldn't go last year because it was actually illegal to spend a night away for leisure purposes, and all hotels were closed, and accordingly, even if I were to go this year, I couldn't make any such claim. I won't (apart from hospital in 2019) have spent a night away for nearly 2 years. Any goings away I do do from now on will alas be on my own.
