Holy Trinity, Headington

It's the Old Durstonian Association, that of the Ealing prep school where I was a pupil in the 1950's and early 1960's. I joined the Association around 30 years ago and its annual dinner was a highlight of my year, but it's become a shadow of its former self, with ever fewer attending, including only the same 3 or 4 who were my contemporaries, only one of whom, apart from I, who remembers much about our childhood days, helped in his case by the fact that were also in the same local scout troop. He went on to stage school and became an actor.

Where did you go after that? Harrow or Eton?

I wasn't to the taste of either, too harrowing to be eton.

You surely never went to the local grammer?
