Funny how at some point between the wars, it seemed a good idea to make the pub look as much like a house as possible!
Fine Uxbridge series. I also knew the long-serving Tory MP for Uxbridge, Alex Randall, scion of Uxbridge's Department store family. I was at college with him and remember his skill on the piano and a wicked sense of humour.
