buses towards READING

The No.7 route from Aldershot to Reading involves changing buses at Hartley Wintney.

The second No.7 bus can be caught from the same stop (Swan Court)
and this is clearly indicated on the bus stop sign and timetable.

But our friendly driver from Aldershot insisted that Reading buses don't stop here, and
escorted us across the main road, telling us to walk up to the roundabout and turn right.

So I joined the procession of elderly passengers plodding up the road in the great heat,
but on turning right could spot no further bus stop as far as the eye could see.

I then returned to the original bus stop and photographed the above sign.
