They demolished the old infirmary wall to build this monstrosity,
which hides the splendid view of the Radcliffe Observatory..

It was quite unnecessary to demolish the wall, when there's no vehicle access from this side. They could have left it in place, with a space at one end for pedestrians and deliveries, but the architect said the wall was an eyesore! And I suppose he thinks his glass edifice isn't?
